    Resposta: No they are supposed to be straight, the ones you have must be damaged.

    Resposta: Hi. Really thick or textured wool/yarn because the gap between the spikes is quite wide. Unless you're going for a more hole-y look. I've been using super chunky yarn, and you can get a nice bobbly yarn from The Original Factory Shop quite cheaply..... two balls on the big frame did a six and a half foot scarf.
