Once leveled, simply press the button below the optic and it will auto level. There is a rattle sound that comes from the auto level compensator, which is normal. It is important to read the manual before use, in order to properly calibrate the level. Although the tripod and stick are good, the product does have some drawbacks. The cross hair are faint and almost disappear when outside, making it difficult to use. Additionally, there are some issues with calibration and adjustment, as the allen bolt seems to strip easily.
