Resposta: After my original answer, I see no reason why you can't buy the whole hammer and easily remove the handle to end up with just the head. Hope this helps. -

Resposta: This is a light tool but if swung hard will just as quickly flatten the clay. Try using with a light touch and it may accomplish what your looking for. Or just substitute tin or thin aluminum for the clay. -

The flat edges can be sharp, and the wood handle is rough, making it uncomfortable to use. Some customers received their hammer rusted and pitted. The hammer's weight is 7oz, and it is not marked where it was made. It is a flat face chasing hammer on one side and ball peen on the other. If used with a light touch, it can be used for blacksmithing modeling clay, but it can also flatten clay if swung too hard. Some customers have complained that the hammer's curve is minimal, making it less suitable for their needs.
