The Jimi Hendrix Experience (Artist) Format: Vinyl Rock 28940204 Editorial Review
**Editorial Review** "Are You Experienced" by Jimi Hendrix stands as a masterpiece that has continually captivated listeners since its original release in 1967. As a cornerstone of rock history, this album has rightfully earned its accolades, including its rank as the fifteenth on Rolling Stone's "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" and its inclusion in the Library of Congress's National Recording Registry. For audiophiles and music lovers alike, the experience of hearing this classic on vinyl cannot be overstated. The 200-gram vinyl pressing of this album impresses with its solid weight and silent playback, enhancing the immersive experience. Many reviewers have praised its original analog sound, asserting that it allows them to relive the music in its authentic form. While some buyers did note that there were issues with certain pressings, including skips on specific tracks, the general reception primarily emphasizes the high quality of the sound. The stereo remastering of this album, although digitally done, has been appreciated by enthusiasts for the brilliant clarity and space it provides in the mix, highlighting Hendrix's pioneering guitar work. The gatefold double album features tracks from both the original UK and US versions, with many fans expressing their preference for this cohesive presentation. The glossy cover captures the essence of the album's original artwork, though some feel it lacks the sturdiness that matches the quality of the vinyl itself. Notably, this release lacks inserts like lyrics or additional content, which some fans wish it included. However, the analog richness and sonic detail present in the vinyl make it a significant addition to any music collection, particularly for those who have only experienced Hendrix through more modern formats. Overall, "Are You Experienced" on vinyl is a recommended purchase for both devoted fans and newcomers to Hendrix's magic. It showcases his revolutionary sound and extraordinary talent, embodying a legendary moment in music history. **
