Resposta: I purchased this float switch and it failed right out of the package. They refunded me my money. They didn't even want the defective switch back. -

Resposta: Yes, but I wouldn't buy it, mine only worked about every other rainfall, my boat almost sank! -

Resposta: Yes, you can mount it vertically, but I would recommend using a three-way switch because if you are running your boat for long distances every time you hit a wave the switch will turn your pump on and if there is no water in the box you will burn your pump out. -
