AXIS Dome Cameras P1224-E Editorial Review

Based on the customer inquiries, the main difference between the axis 0533-001 communications mini hdtv pinhole outdoor network camera and the P1224-E model is in the lens specifications. The P1224-E has a 1.56mm lens with a horizontal angle of view of 145°, while the axis 0533-001 has a 2.8mm lens with a 81° angle of view. In terms of low light performance, the P1224-E requires at least an ambient light equivalent to 2 candle light coverage to produce good quality recordings in the dark. Additionally, the P1224-E model is not compatible with the iVMS 4500 software. Overall, the P1224-E outdoor network camera may be a suitable option for those looking for a wide-angle view with its 145° horizontal angle of view. However, potential buyers should Consider the low light recording capabilities of the camera and ensure there is sufficient ambient light for optimal performance. **
