Does it change the sound quality?
Answer: It actually sounds better cause I have it at the level of my head next to my recliner. The sound quality was not affected overall. -

Can it be mounted on the ceiling?
Answer: Assuming that what you really want to know is if this will hold the HomePod Mini securely in place if mounted upside down, mine seems tight enough that I think it will. Mine is mounted to the wall though and not the ceiling so I can’t be sure. -

Does it remove the paint from the wall when you go to remove it?
Answer: No it just sticks to the smooth surface of a paint surface.
