New Experiences Editorial Review
**** "Places We've Never Been" by Kasie West has received a warm reception from readers, particularly those who appreciate contemporary young adult romance. Many reviewers have lauded the book for its relatable themes, the redeeming qualities of its characters, and the light-hearted narrative style that Kasie West is known for. Readers have highlighted the natural depiction of family dynamics, showcasing both the flaws and growth within relationships, contributing to an overall feel-good story. The childhood friends-to-lovers storyline paired with a road trip adventure resonates deeply, especially with young teens and fans of wholesome romance. The characters, Norah and Skyler, are praised for their growth and the chemistry displayed throughout their journey, offering moments of authentic connection and humor. Though there are mixed feelings about certain character portrayals, particularly Norah, many felt that the book still delivered engaging banter and vivid imagery that brings the road trip adventure to life. However, some seasoned fans of West noted a shift in her storytelling, expressing a longing for the warmth and comfort found in her earlier works. While the book is charming and entertaining, it may not hold the same nostalgia and emotional resonance for all longtime readers. Nevertheless, the majority of feedback reflects a strong recommendation for those seeking a sweet, uncomplicated romance sprinkled with humor and relatable experiences. **
