The LEGO Iconic Chess Set is a great choice for both LEGO and chess enthusiasts. It comes with 1450 pieces and is simple to build, taking several hours. The chess pieces are brick-built, with a dark red/black vs dark blue/white color scheme, and the detailing is impressive - the knight's horse ears are adorable, and the bishop is particularly cleverly Constructed. The board could be bigger, but the set is incredibly good value for money and has excellent play value. The pieces are easily modified to make them smaller and more streamlined without losing any of the fine detailing. Storage is also cleverly built into the set.
